Handwritten small bound copy of a funeral oration delivered by professor Stephen Sewall on the death of Rev. Edward Holyoke, June 6, 1769. Sewall's oration was delivered in the Cambridge Meeting House and provides a history of Holyoke's life, describes his character, and details his tenure as president of Harvard College, 1737-69.
